There are recently a lot of products that are AI, we got digital assistants pretty much anywhere, composes for writing, photo editors and now we got AI to track our macros. And that got some poeple bit mad because how do you rely about it, how acurate it is? How does it know what portion size this is?

How does it work?

All AI food trackers are working by using combination of computer vision (camera), machine learning for accuracy and massive food database, by these three parts of the device will calculate and give you the answer by just taking picture. Now depending on your device they can use depth sensors to help measure the volume and portion size of the meal.

How accurate is it?

Well as with anything is not 100% accurate, across the industry currently is 80% as average. I use FitHub and 15% of users reported concerns about accuracy especially when they use camera or barcode function.

So is it worth it?

In my opinion its ideal for people who are having busy life style, granted its not accurate but it gives you rough idea of what you ate and if you need to increase of decrease food consumption or even if you need to change the diet.
