Creatine is one of the most popular supplement used by athletes but what exactly is it, what are the good things and bad things about it?

What is a creatine?
Is a compound that can be found in muscles cells and brain. It's made out of three animo acids. it can be obtained naturally through consumption of red meet and seafood.
The body stores creatine primary in muscles as phosphocreatine, which is used to produce adenoise triphosphate, the main source of energy for muscles constactions.
Good things;
It will improve athletes performance by enhancing strenght, power output allowing athletes to do more work during intense exercise.
It will increase muscle mass; because it allows you to do more, creatine can lead to greater gains in muscle mass and strength, especially when doing weight training.
Side effects;
Creatine causes muscles to retain water, which can lead to increase in body weight. And it can have gastrointestinal issues especially during the loading phase.
verdict
I can say as been using creatine for while now, that it is beneficial; it does make me more energetic and improves performance at the gym, as well its the safest supplement as the studies suggest.
